Class Descriptions

  • ZUMBA GOLD: Interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party using  Latin and world music and low-intensity movements . Leave feeling strong and empowered!

  • ZUMBA TONING: Dance fitness workout that  puts extra emphasis on toning and
sculpting to define those muscles! The challenge of adding resistance by using Zumba®Toning Sticks (or light weights), helps you focus on specific muscle groups, so you (and your muscles) stay engaged!

  • ZUMBA FOR ALL: Dance fitness class for everybody and every body! Each class is designed to bring people together to sweat it on.   Choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination. Modifications provided for those who wish to have lower intensity movements.  Class focuses on all elements of fitness: cardiovascular, muscular conditioning, flexibility and balance.  Come ready to sweat, and prepare to leave empowered and feeling strong.

  • LIGHT & LIVELY: Combination of cardio conditioning and toning that is simple and easy to follow.  Uses resistance bands and/or light weights to improve balance and coordination while preventing loss of muscle and bone density.  Leaves you feeling energized all day!  Exercises can be done with the use of chairs for support.

  • CARDIO TAI BOX: Tai Box is a high energy blend of kicks and punches set to upbeat music. This class is the perfect combination of martial arts, boxing and cardiovascular training. Sharpen hand-eye coordination with intense kicks, ducks, and punches.  Movements will increase sense of awareness as well as speed and agility.

  • Juliet Says: This is a high intensity toning class that focuses on core strength and conditioning.  Incorporates periods of 1-3 min of high intensity cardiovascular exercise followed by 1 min of resistance training to burn fat and work your entire body.  Dumbells, kettlebells, other resistance equipment as well as body weight will be used.

I’m very out of shape – will the classes be too difficult?

Juliet encourages you to tune in to your body and go at your own pace.  She does not operate under the mindset of “no pain, no gain”. Safety and proper form is her focus and ensuring that you get the best workout at your fitness level. Modifications for movements will always be provided. However, you will be challenged and you will realize your amazing potential.

I am overweight and self-conscious about it. Will there be other overweight people in the group class?

There will most likely be others who are overweight and feeling the same as you. You will be surrounded by inspiration and with peers that all aspire for the same thing….to get in shape and to feel confident and happy.

If I am not able to do all of the movements the first time I come to class, can I come to other classes?

Absolutely.  Juliet encourages you to come to several classes in order to become acquainted with the exercises. If you are new to a class like ZUMBA, for instance, you may be just getting introduced to the movements the first class.
